About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Engineer to join our dynamic team at SENTIENT. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing security tools and systems to protect our digital infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, with hands-on experience in deploying and monitoring security solutions such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and cloud security services. You will play a crucial role in ensuring regulatory compliance, responding to security incidents, and supporting our ongoing security initiatives. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or have at least five years of relevant experience in cybersecurity and compliance environments. Certifications such as Azure Virtual certifications, CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar are highly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with security tools including SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDPS, and WAF, along with a solid understanding of regulatory standards like NIST, SOC 2, and PCI/DSS. Experience with scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools such as PowerShell, Terraform, and ARM templates is essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, databases, and operating systems (Windows, Linux) is also necessary.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and manage security tools including SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDPS, and WAF to ensure optimal security posture.
- Monitor security alerts and events to identify and respond to potential threats promptly.
- Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, analysis, documentation, and remediation of security incidents.
- Support regulatory compliance efforts by conducting security assessments, audits, and maintaining documentation aligned with HIPAA, HITECH, SOC 2, and other relevant standards.
- Assess vendor and supply chain security practices; develop and maintain a comprehensive vendor risk management program.
- Coordinate and support security and compliance projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
- Implement and manage security controls within cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technological advancements through continuous learning and professional development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security policies, procedures, and infrastructure.
- Utilize scripting and automation tools like PowerShell, Terraform, and ARM templates to streamline security operations.
