About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and monitoring our security infrastructure to protect the organization’s digital assets from cyber threats. Your expertise will be crucial in configuring and maintaining security tools such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDPS, and WAF, as well as participating in incident response activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to security challenges, and a passion for continuous learning. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work remotely from Hyderabad, with shift timings from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM IST, supporting a global security framework.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or have at least five years of experience working within cybersecurity and compliance environments. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or Azure Virtual certifications are highly preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of hands-on experience specifically in cybersecurity roles, with proficiency in security tools like SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDPS, and WAF. Knowledge of regulatory standards such as NIST, SOC 2, and PCI/DSS is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication abilities, are required. Familiarity with scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools such as PowerShell, Terraform, ARM templates, and Azure CLI is advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate a good work ethic, integrity, and a keen eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and security practices.
Responsibilities
- Security Tool Implementation: Deploy and manage security tools including SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDPS, and WAF, ensuring they are properly configured and maintained for optimal performance.
- Security Monitoring and Threat Detection: Continuously monitor security alerts and events to identify potential threats. Maintain and tune security monitoring systems to ensure high efficiency and accuracy.
- Incident Response: Participate actively in incident response activities by investigating and analyzing security incidents. Document incidents thoroughly and assist in remediation efforts to prevent future occurrences.
- Regulatory Compliance: Support and ensure compliance with various regulatory standards such as HIPAA, HITECH, and SOC 2 through regular security assessments and audits.
- Vendor and Supply Chain Assessment: Conduct comprehensive security assessments of vendors and supply chain partners to ensure their security practices meet organizational standards. Develop and maintain a vendor risk management program.
- Project Coordination: Lead and coordinate security and compliance projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements and objectives.
- Cloud Security: Implement and manage security controls in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. Monitor cloud configurations and enforce best practices to safeguard cloud assets.
- Continuous Learning and Development: Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies. Participate in training programs and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
