About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Engineer to join our dynamic team at Staffington Global. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and enhancing the security posture of our control systems and security solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and support pre-sales activities by providing expert guidance on security requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, a proactive approach to threat detection, and the ability to communicate complex security concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in information security, application security, or cybersecurity engineering. A solid understanding of secure architecture design, security assessment tools, and industry standards is essential. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field is required. Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISA are advantageous. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent technical documentation skills, strong presentation abilities, and a continuous learning mindset to stay updated on emerging security threats and trends.
Responsibilities
- Conduct security assessments and verify compliance of products and solutions against cyber-threats and industry standards.
- Support pre-sales activities by acting as a subject matter expert during tenders and customer meetings.
- Establish and execute penetration testing processes for applications and infrastructure, and oversee the implementation of remediation measures.
- Define, implement, and maintain security strategies, policies, and standards aligned with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and IEC 62443.
- Integrate security practices into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), working closely with agile development teams.
- Collaborate with internal solution delivery teams and external customer IT departments to ensure security best practices are followed.
- Recommend and support the selection and deployment of appropriate security tools and countermeasures.
- Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends specific to aviation and critical infrastructure sectors.
