About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Cyber Operations Analyst to join our dynamic cybersecurity team in Pune. This pivotal role involves monitoring, managing, and enhancing the security infrastructure to protect the bank from evolving cyber threats. The Lead Cyber Operations Analyst will be responsible for overseeing security monitoring systems, analyzing security events, and responding effectively to incidents. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise, capable of leading incident response efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the development of security policies and procedures. The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding the bank’s digital assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a proactive security culture across the organization.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a robust background in cybersecurity with proven experience in threat hunting, incident response, and security operations. Relevant qualifications include formal certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+. A strong understanding of security toolsets, SIEM technologies, and network analysis is essential. Prior experience working within a financial services environment and familiarity with regulatory compliance issues will be highly valued. The candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to brief senior management and external stakeholders effectively. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in scripting languages, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage security monitoring systems, including intrusion detection and prevention tools, to identify and respond to potential cyber threats promptly.
- Analyze security logs, alerts, and events to detect emerging threats and attack techniques, collaborating with industry forums and networks to stay informed on the latest security trends.
- Lead incident response efforts, including containment, remediation, and resolution of security incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
- Manage and analyze security information and event management (SIEM) systems to correlate data, identify anomalies, and escalate issues as necessary.
- Conduct triage of data loss prevention alerts to prevent sensitive data exfiltration from the bank’s network.
- Identify, assess, and implement security controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Support the development and refinement of security policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance the overall security posture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network, infrastructure, and compliance teams, to ensure integrated security measures.
- Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Participate in regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and address potential weaknesses.
