Android Engineer

Cvent is looking for an experienced Android Engineer to join our growing mobile engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Android mobile applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the overall technical strategy and roadmap. You will be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and deployment. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into functional and scalable solutions - Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following best practices and guidelines - Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions - Identify and address performance bottlenecks, bugs, and user experience issues - Stay up-to-date with the latest Android SDK updates, libraries, and industry trends - Contribute to the overall technical direction and roadmap of the mobile platform Requirements: - 3+ years of experience in Android application development - Proficient in Java and/or Kotlin, and familiar with Android SDK and architecture components - Strong understanding of Android UI design patterns, Android Jetpack, and Material Design principles - Experience with Android testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Espresso) and continuous integration/deployment - Familiarity with RESTful APIs, databases, and other backend technologies - Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills - Passion for building high-quality, user-centric mobile applications
