We are looking for a detail-oriented Pre-Production Engineer (Cutlist Specialist) with 4 to 6 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between design and manufacturing, ensuring that technical drawings are flawlessly translated into accurate cutlists for production.
Job Overview
- Role: Pre-Production Engineer / Cutlist Specialist
- Experience Required: 4 – 6 Years (Modular furniture/interior industry preferred)
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Location: Near New BEL Road, Bangalore (On-site)
- Notice Period: Immediate Joiners preferred (Max 15 days notice)
Key Responsibilities
- Cutlist Generation: Extract and prepare highly accurate production cutlists, material take-offs (MTO), and hardware requirements from finalized designs.
- Technical Drawing Validation: Review and validate 2D/3D design drawings for manufacturing feasibility, checking dimensions, edge-banding details, and assembly logic.
- Inter-Department Coordination: Act as the key liaison between the Design Team, Quality Control (QC) Team, and the Factory/Production Floor to ensure seamless communication.
- Pre-Production Release: Take ownership of the final pre-production package release, ensuring zero-error documentation is sent to the factory.
- Problem Solving: Identify design errors or mismatches early in the process and coordinate with designers to rectify them before material is cut.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Software Expertise: Strong working knowledge of standard industry cutlist and design software.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of modular furniture materials (Plywood, MDF, Particle Board), hardware (Hettich, Blum, Ebco), and manufacturing processes.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent blueprint reading skills and a sharp eye for spotting structural or dimensional errors in civil/interior drawings.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate across design, QC, and factory teams.
