Customs Compliance OfficerOSV FTWZsfull-timeRequired skillscomplianceERPAbout the role OSV FTWZs Website: osvftwz.com Job details: Skills Required:-Strong knowledge of Indian Customs laws, SEZs, IMport Export and FTWZ operationsGraduate (LLB / Diploma in Customs or Trade Compliance preferred experience)5–10 years in FTWZ / SEZ / Bonded Warehouse / Customs complianceHands-on experience with ICEGATE, ERP systems Customs Tariff and Manual etc.Excellent documentation, audit and compliance orientatedStrong coordination and stakeholder management skillsHSN classification & tariff interpretationImport policy (ITC HS) understandingStrong coordination & execution mindsetFree Trade Agreement and its eligibilitiesExperience in handling customs and other government departments and liaisingPleasing personality, good command over English and HindiKRAs:-Assist in ensuring compliance with SEZ Act & Rules, FTWZ guidelines, Customs Act, allied notifications and circularsMonitor compliance with Letter of Approval (LoA) conditionsSupport statutory audits, inspections, and verification by Customs, SEZ authorities and internal auditorsAssist in closure of audit observations and regulatory queriesMaintain and verify statutory records including; Bill of Entry/ Shipping Bills, Bond registers, Stock registers, Movement registers (bonded-to-bonded, SEZ, DTA)Support preparation and filing of APR, QPR, monthly/annual returnsEnsure reconciliation between physical stock, ERP/WMS, and customs documentationIdentify and validate correct HSN code based on; Product Description, Composition, technical specifications, end-useApply General Rules for Interpretation (GRI), section notes, and chapter notesDetermine applicable customs duties: BCD, SWS, IGST, ADD, Safeguard Duty, Compensation Cess (if applicable)Verify import policy status under ITC (HS):Free / Restricted / ProhibitedLicensing or NOC requirements (BIS, FSSAI, PQ, WPC, Drug Controller, etc.)Flag classification or importability risks prior to importAssist compliance for: Import under bond into FTWZ, Re-export, destruction, DTA clearance & FTWZ–SEZ / bonded-to-bonded movementsCoordinate with operations and logistics teams for compliant cargo movementEnsure proper customs endorsements and transaction closureCoordinate and liase with: Customs officers, SEZ Development Commissioner office, Customs Brokers / CHASupport inspections, sealing/unsealing, and stock verificationAssist senior compliance team during hearings and official meetingsUpdate and validate compliance data in ERP / WMS / ICEGATE-linked systemsReconcile ERP data with customs filings and physical inventorySupport system-based audits and data extractionIdentify compliance risks such as: Wrong HSN classification, Import policy violations, Prohibited / restricted goods, Diversion or misuse riskEscalate issues promptly and assist in CAPA documentationProvide compliance guidance to internal teams (sales, ops, accounts)Track changes in customs notifications, DGFT policy, FTWZ guidelinesCirculate regulatory updates internallySupport internal compliance training and SOP updatesClear understanding of HSN Code, its application and customs notifications etc. Click on Apply to know more.
