Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a Customs Clearance Staff - Nhavasheva position. The primary responsibilities include managing import and export clearance processes, handling customs brokerage, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and coordinating with various stakeholders. The role involves communicating with clients and authorities to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
· Graduate in any discipline.
· 3 – 5 years of experience in Customs Clearance operations.
· Experience in handling Import and/or Export clearance.
· Custom Pass Holder – G Category.
· Knowledge of Customs procedures and regulations - RMS, 1st Check & 2nd Check procedures / HS Code classification / Duty calculation / Customs examinations and assessments / COO, FTA, Licenses, NOCs (if applicable).
· Awareness of Customs Act, DGFT guidelines, and port procedures.
· Good coordination with Customs officials, CFS, ports, and internal teams.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet clearance timelines.
· Responsible, disciplined, and compliance-oriented approach.
· Own Vehicle – 2 Wheeler for travelling at Nhavasheva.
Qualifications
- Proven knowledge in Customs Brokerage, including procedures and compliance requirements
- Strong understanding of Import and Export regulations and documentation processes
- Effective Communication skills for liaising with customers, authorities, and team members
- Experience in managing Import and Export-related operations
- Knowledge of logistics processes is a plus
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, or a related field is preferred
