PropelOne is building a Voice AI-powered operating system for home services contractors. We are hiring an engineer who can help customers via chat and phone, investigate issues, and fix the software behind them.
The role
You will help contractors use PropelOne with confidence. You will answer questions directly, troubleshoot problems, make changes across our application, and confirm that the solution worked for the customer. This role combines patient customer communication with hands on software development.
What you will own
- Provide live chat and phone support during scheduled working hours.
- Guide customers through product workflows and explain technical issues in plain language.
- Reproduce reported problems, inspect logs and data, and trace causes across React, Laravel, MySQL, and integrations.
- Write, test, and ship fixes and small product improvements.
- Keep customers informed until resolution and confirm that the solution worked.
- Escalate issues affecting calls, bookings, payments or customer data promptly.
- Turn recurring issues into improvements to the product, documentation or internal tools.
- Use coding agents during investigation, implementation and testing, while reviewing their output and verifying customer impact.
What you bring
- At least two years of professional software development experience.
- Practical experience with React, Laravel, and MySQL.
- Experience using coding agents throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Confidence helping customers on the phone and through live chat.
- Clear spoken and written English, patience, and the ability to explain next steps.
- Strong debugging skills and ownership from the first report to customer confirmation.
- Sound judgment about when to resolve an issue independently and when to escalate.
