About Imperum
Imperum is an Agentic AI SecOps platform helping security teams reduce alert noise, accelerate investigation, and move from evidence to validated action while analysts stay in control of critical decisions.
Built for enterprise SOC, MSSP, and MDR teams, Imperum brings AI-driven triage, automation, investigation, case management, and integrations into one operational workflow. The platform connects across SIEM, EDR/XDR, ITSM, threat intelligence, cloud, and enterprise systems to help security teams work faster and with greater consistency.
About the Role
As a Customer Success Engineer, you’ll be the technical partner our customers rely on to get the most from Imperum. This is a full-time remote role based in India, with a strong preference for candidates located in or near the Greater Bengaluru area. While the role is remote, being close to Bengaluru will help with team collaboration, customer engagement, and occasional in-person meetings when needed.
You’ll work alongside security teams from onboarding through long-term adoption, helping them integrate Imperum into their environments, build automation playbooks, and put AI agents to work across their security operations.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that blends deep technical work with relationship building. You’ll spend your time solving real security-operations problems, guiding customers toward best practices, and bringing customer feedback back to our product and engineering teams.
What You'll Do
- Own the technical relationship after the sale; guiding customers through onboarding, deployment, and ongoing adoption to ensure they realize lasting value from the platform.
- Design, build, and fine-tune automation playbooks that streamline alert triage, enrichment, and response, reducing manual workload for analysts.
- Help customers deploy and orchestrate AI agents across their SOC, and advise on where autonomous workflows deliver the greatest impact.
- Write and maintain Python scripts and custom integrations that connect Imperum to SIEM, EDR/XDR, ticketing, threat intelligence, and cloud tooling through REST APIs.
- Translate customer requirements into scalable, well-documented automation workflows.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, and triage and prioritize incidents as they arise.
- Lead training sessions, technical workshops, and enablement to deepen customer expertise and product adoption.
- Act as the voice of the customer, sharing insights with product and engineering to help shape the roadmap.
- Stay current on the evolving threat landscape and on developments in security automation and AI.
What You'll Bring
- A solid grounding in cybersecurity fundamentals; SOC operations, incident response, threat detection, and alert triage.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining SOAR playbooks or security automation workflows (for example, Cortex XSOAR, Splunk SOAR, Tines, Torq, Swimlane, or similar).
- Proficiency in Python for automation, custom integrations, and API work.
- Practical experience with AI agents, agentic workflows, or LLM-driven automation — ideally applied to a security context.
- Comfort integrating security tools via REST APIs, including handling authentication, pagination, and error handling.
- A background in customer-facing technical roles, such as customer success engineering, post-sales or solutions engineering, professional services, or technical account management.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving instincts, and a genuine drive to deliver an excellent customer experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, threat intelligence platforms, or cloud security across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with MSSP or MDR environments.
- Exposure to regulated industries and compliance frameworks.
- Additional scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell) and familiarity with legacy protocols such as SSH, Telnet, or CLI-based automation.
- Relevant certifications (for example, Security+, CISSP, or a recognized SOAR/automation credential).
