Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Customer Service Representative role based in Chennai. The Customer Service Representative will handle customer inquiries and requests across phone, email, and other channels, providing accurate information about shipping services, tracking, and delivery status. Daily responsibilities include managing bookings, coordinating with operations and logistics teams on sea, air, and local transportation shipments, and ensuring timely updates to customers. The role involves resolving customer issues, documenting interactions in internal systems, and following up on open cases until completion. The Customer Service Representative will also support process improvements, maintain service standards, and contribute to a positive customer experience throughout the shipment lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing skills, including experience as a Customer Service Representative or in a similar customer support role.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality Customer Service and maintain high Customer Satisfaction standards.
- Experience enhancing Customer Experience through clear communication, proactive updates, and problem resolution.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English; additional local language skills are an advantage.
- Basic understanding of logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding processes is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, manage multiple tasks, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with using customer service software, email, and standard office applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is preferred, or equivalent practical experience in customer service.
- 3-4Years relevant experinece in Freight forwarding
