Summary
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the development of custom software solutions that are designed to meet specific business needs. Your typical day will involve coding, enhancing components, and collaborating with various teams to ensure the delivery of scalable and high-performing solutions using modern frameworks and agile methodologies. You will be responsible for understanding the requirements and translating them into functional software, while also ensuring that the solutions are efficient and effective in addressing the challenges faced by the organization.

- Architect, design, deploy, and optimize mission critical AWS cloud environments adhering to best practices for security, cost, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with solution architects, security teams, and engineering squads to deliver scalable cloud-native platforms.
- Mentor junior engineers, review technical designs, and enforce cloud architecture best practices.
Professional & Technical Skills
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in DevOps , Core AWS Services: Compute: EC2, Auto Scaling, Launch Templates, Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda (serverless architecture, event-driven patterns) , Containerization: Docker, ECS (Fargate/EC2), ECR.
- Good To Have Sills: Glue for ETL and data integration, SageMaker for ML pipelines/workflows, Step Functions for orchestration, EventBridge, SNS, SQS (asynchronous patterns), Athena, Redshift, OpenSearch, CloudFront, WAF, Shield for edge security & content delivery, Systems Manager (SSM) for fleet automation & patching.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices with advanced AWS experience.
- Strong understanding of cloud services and infrastructure management and of container networking & orchestration, EKS (Kubernetes on AWS) – cluster operations, networking, add ons Networking VPC design, Subnets, Route Tables, NAT Gateways, Transit Gateway , Load Balancers (ALB/NLB), API Gateway , Direct Connect, VPN, PrivateLink , Hybrid connectivity & multi-account network architectures.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to automate processes and improve system reliability.
- Should lead AWS infrastructure strategy, governance, standards, and automation frameworks across multi-account setups and Implement and manage advanced AWS services spanning compute, networking, storage, data, analytics, security, serverless, and container orchestration.
- Ability to Drive infrastructure automation using Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management using Ansible and Lead container adoption and modernization efforts using Docker, and support EKS/ECS workloads.
- Should provide advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning across distributed systems.
- Good knowledge in Storage & Databases: RDS (MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQL Server/Aurora), DynamoDB, S3 (lifecycle, replication, encryption, object policies), EFS, FSx, Security & Governance: IAM (IAM roles, SCPs, permission boundaries, federation), AWS Organizations and multi-account governance, AWS KMS, Secrets Manager, Parameter Store, CloudTrail, Config, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Inspector.
- Good Understanding of Automation & DevOps: Terraform (advanced modules, workspaces, remote state), Ansible for configuration management, CI/CD tools: GitLab Pipeline , CloudFormation (optional but beneficial) with Monitoring & Observability: CloudWatch (metrics, logs, alarms, dashboards), CloudWatch Synthetics & distributed tracing, X-Ray, AWS Health Dashboard, Logging strategies across multi-account setups (Centralized logging).
Additional Information
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
