Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the development of custom software solutions that are designed to meet specific business needs. Your typical day will involve collaborating with team members to design, code, and enhance various components across systems or applications. You will utilize modern frameworks and agile practices to ensure that the solutions you deliver are scalable and high-performing, contributing to the overall success of the projects you are involved in.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Assist in the documentation of software specifications and design.
- Engage in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
- Incident Management
- Monitor and resolve production incidents within SLA.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.
- Enhancement Management
- Analyze and implement system enhancements.
- Demand Management
- Evaluate business requests and change demands.
- Conduct impact analysis.
- Provide effort estimation and solution design.
- Prioritize backlog items with stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment with business and compliance requirements.
- Support governance and approval processes.
Operational Responsibilities
- Provide Shift B production support coverage.
- Maintain SLA adherence.
- Participate in on-call rotation (if applicable).
- Support global user base.
- Ensure data integrity and system performance.
- Support integrations with Payroll, HR, and Finance systems.
KPIs / Performance Metrics
- Incident resolution within SLA
- Reduction in recurring incidents.
- Enhancement delivery timeliness.
- Customer satisfaction score.
- System uptime & stability.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Kronos.
- Strong understanding of Timekeeping, Scheduling, Accruals, Labor transfers, Pay rules configuration.
- Experience with interface troubleshooting
- Knowledge of SQL (basic level preferred).
- Understanding of Workforce Management business processes.
Functional Skills
- Incident handling & ticket management (ServiceNow/Jira preferred).
