Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves leading the design, development, and configuration of software applications. This role requires taking ownership of the project s technical direction and serving as the main liaison for all application-related activities. The position demands coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure the solutions meet business needs while maintaining high standards of quality and performance. The engineer actively oversees the progress of development tasks and ensures that the applications are aligned with the overall project goals and timelines.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the planning and execution of application design and development activities to meet project objectives.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination among team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Mentor junior team members by providing guidance and support to enhance their technical skills and professional growth.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM Sterling Commerce.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with A&D Aftermarket.
- Strong knowledge of application architecture and software development lifecycle processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex software issues and provide effective solutions.
- Experience in configuring and customizing enterprise software applications to meet specific business requirements.
- Familiarity with integration techniques and tools to connect various software systems.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in IBM Sterling Commerce.
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
