Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves leading the design, development, and configuration of software applications. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for custom software solutions.
- Document technical specifications and maintain clear communication channels with project stakeholders.
- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support to enhance their technical skills.
- Continuously monitor application performance and implement improvements to optimize functionality.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in AS/400 COBOL 400 (Programming Language).
- Strong knowledge of application design principles and software development lifecycle.
- Experience in debugging and troubleshooting complex software issues.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Familiarity with database management and integration techniques related to AS/400 systems.
- Understanding of version control systems and collaborative development practices.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in AS/400 COBOL 400 (Programming Language).
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
