Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will lead the effort to design, build, and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact. Your typical day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, developing innovative solutions, and ensuring the successful implementation of software applications. You will also engage in problem-solving discussions, providing insights and expertise to enhance project outcomes and drive efficiency in application development.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and develop efficient and scalable data models in SAP HANA Cloud using Calculation Views and SQLScript.
- Implement calculated fields, aggregations, and business logic based on Profit Center, Business Line and MRP Controller requirements.
- Collaborate with finance and supply chain stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Optimize data models for performance, security, and reusability.
- Ensure models are well-documented, version-controlled, and adhere to best practices.
- Work with functional consultants to validate data accuracy and business alignment.
- Continuously evaluate and improve development processes to increase efficiency.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in SAP HANA native development or SAP HANA Cloud.
- Strong expertise in Calculation Views, SQLScript, Table Functions, Stored Procedures and scheduler jobs.
- Solid understanding of SAP ERP data structures, especially BSEG (Financial Documents), MARC (Material Plant Data), MARA (Material Master), Material documents (MSEG) and ACDOCA (S4/HANA).
- Experience with profit center accounting and MRP/planning-related data.
- Familiarity with data modeling principles, performance optimization, and analytic privileges.
- Ability to work in SAP Business Application Studio, SAP HANA Database Explorer.
- Experience using Git-based source code management tools for version control and collaboration (Bitbucket).
- Familiar with automated deployment pipelines for promoting changes across environments (Jenkins).
- Good communication skills to work with both business users and technical teams.
- Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams using Agile Scrum methodologies.
