Role Description
The Custom Clearance Manager is a full-time on-site role located in Ghatkopar and JNPT. This position involves overseeing and managing the custom clearance process at JNPT and Mumbai ports while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Daily responsibilities include documentation review, coordination with customs authorities and clients, managing import/export processes, monitoring shipments, resolving clearance issues, and leading a team to optimize efficiency and service quality. The role also requires maintaining relationships with customers and ensuring timely updates on shipment statuses.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills and experience in Operations Management
- Proficiency in Inventory Management and Customer Service
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of customs regulations, clearance procedures, and documentation requirements
- Ability to handle high-pressure environments and meet tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience in customs clearance at JNPT/Mumbai ports is an advantage
