Overview:

We are currently seeking Low Voltage Technicians who test at all levels with experience to work on installations, alterations, additions, and/or repair of structured cabling systems in low voltage, associated materials, and equipment on any type of project.

Responsibilities:
  • Install and route low voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6) through trays, conduits, and pathways
  • Terminate and dress cables at workstations, patch panels, and IDF/MDF rooms
  • Test and troubleshoot cabling systems using appropriate tools (Fluke or similar)
  • Read basic prints, schematics, and network diagrams
  • Perform proper labeling and follow industry standards (TIA/EIA, 568A/B)
  • Install and terminate data jacks, patch panels, and RJ45 connectors
  • Support network connectivity by patching and verifying circuits
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time during scheduled shifts
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, and climbing as required by job duties
Qualifications:
  • Experience with structured cabling systems (data/voice)
  • Familiarity with Cat5e/Cat6 installation and termination
  • Basic understanding of cable ratings and industry standards
  • Ability to use hand tools and testing equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work on a team
  • Certifications (BICSI or similar) are a plus
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Dependable vehicle for transportation to and from work
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must be licensed to work in TX

Plus:

Licensed Electrician or desire to become a licensed electrician
