ABOUT US
Awadh Art Festival is a curated platform celebrating India’s diverse artistic voices, with a special focus on heritage, dialogue and unsung practitioners. Over the past 8 years, AAF has grown into a vibrant cultural platform, bringing together artists, curators, patrons and institutions to foster meaningful cultural exchange
As a relatively young evolving platform, these 8 years have been a journey of learning, refining our curatorial voice and building strong cultural relationships across regions. Each edition has helped us deepen our understanding of India’s artistic ecosystems while strengthening the festival’s purpose-led approach.
Now, after 8 years we are venturing into the Mumbai art market for the first time. This marks an important new chapter as we engage with the city’s distinct cultural landscape while continuing to work with artists and artistic practices from across the country.
ROLE OVER VIEW
This role focuses on developing financial and brand support for the festival by building relationships with organisations, brands, institutions, and individuals who may wish to associate with the platform.
The individual will approach potential supporters, introduce the vision of the festival, and help secure financial contributions, brand partnerships, or collaborative support that enables the festival to take place and grow sustainably.
Support for the festival may come in different forms, including :
- Direct financial support
- Brand associations and collaborations
- Institutional support
- Barter-based partnerships where services, products, or logistical support may be exchanged in alignment with the needs of the festival.
As AAF enters the Mumbai art market for the first time, this role will help establish meaningful alliances and build a strong support ecosystem around the festival.
This is a project-based / contractual engagement with :
- Flexible working hours
- Outcome-oriented responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and approach organisations, brands, institutions, and individuals who may be interested in supporting the festival financially or through brand partnerships, and work towards converting these conversations into meaningful sponsorship or collaboration agreements.
WHO THIS ROLE IS IDEAL FOR
Someone who:
- Understands relationship-driven ecosystems such as those in Mumbai.
- Is comfortable initiating conversations with organisations and decision-makers
- Values long-term partnerships over purely transactional engagements
- Can represent a young but serious cultural platform entering the Mumbai art market
