Junior Finance Assistant

Looking to kickstart your finance career in a fast-paced, high-growth start-up environment? We’re hiring a Junior Finance Assistant to join one of our most exciting clients – a scaling tech company with global reach and bold ambitions.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the VP of Finance & Operations and get hands-on exposure across the full finance function, from transactional accounting to internal reporting and investor updates. If you’re confident with numbers, eager to learn, and ready to grow alongside an ambitious team, this could be the perfect next step.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Managing accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
• Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial data in Xero.
• Supporting month-end close and internal financial reporting.
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking.
• Maintaining organised financial records and documentation.
• Preparing audit documentation and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Contributing to investor updates, reports, and fundraising materials.
• Providing general operational support across finance as needed.

Essential skills and experience required:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• ~2 years of experience in a finance/accounting role (including internships).
• Proficiency in Xero and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• A proactive, adaptable, and solutions-oriented approach.
