RESOURCE SCHEDULER

Resource Scheduler - Urology and OB

Job Summary:                          

• Accurately enter patients into the hospital scheduling system.          
• Assure precertification requirements are met when patient is scheduled and complete follow-up if needed.  
• Maintain up-to-date records of scheduling guidelines from all scheduling centers and follow all procedural guidelines and instructions on all scheduled procedures.     
• Accurately and thoroughly document pertinent information regarding the handling of the account, including researching prior accounts.
• Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.      
• Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.   

Qualifications

Education:                                               

High school diploma or equivalent. In-depth knowledge of medical terminology required.                                                    

Experience:                                             

Two years’ medical terminology experience required. Phone experience, surgery scheduling, and prior authorization experience preferred.                                                       

Additional Skills/Abilities:                                            

Computer experience required. Must be able to type 30 WPM.
