Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Culinary Associate, based in Hyderabad. The Culinary Associate will be responsible for preparing high-quality culinary creations, ensuring food safety standards, and delivering exceptional customer service. Tasks include food preparation, plating, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and engaging with customers to enhance their dining experience. The role requires collaboration with team members to maintain the establishment’s high standards of excellence and creativity in every product served.
Qualifications
- Assemble and finish signature croissant buns, sandwiches, and dessert products with precision and consistency
- Prepare and portion fillings, spreads, creams, sauces, and beverage syrups according to brand recipes and standards
- Handle proofing, baking, finishing, and daily production of viennoiserie and baked goods
- Maintain exceptional food presentation standards aligned with Du Jour’s premium customer experience
- Ensure freshness, quality control, and proper storage of ingredients and prepared products
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols at all times
- Support beverage preparation and assist with in-house café production requirements
- Manage mise en place and maintain an organised, efficient workstation throughout service
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house team in a fast-paced retail environment
- Assist with inventory monitoring, restocking, and daily operational prep
Requirements- Passion for food, pastry, and hospitality with strong attention to detail
- Prior experience in a bakery, café, dessert bar, or hospitality kitchen preferred
- Basic understanding of baking, proofing, food preparation, and kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining consistency and quality
- Strong understanding of hygiene and food safety practices
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and willingness to learn
- Flexible with shifts, weekends, and peak-hour operations
- Culinary training or hands-on kitchen experience is an added advantage
