Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the following project: Project: 'Development of Infrared Detectors for Defence Applications' Essential Qualifications: 1) M.Sc. in Physics/Material Science/Nanotechnology or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade. 2) NET/GATE qualified. Desirable Qualifications: 1) Hands-on experience in the development of Infrared Detectors. 2) Demonstrated skills in Material Characterization and Device Fabrication. 3) Knowledge of Semiconductor Physics. Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- per month plus HRA as per Institute norms. Duration: Initially for one year and extendable up to maximum of 5 years or completion of the project, whichever is earlier, subject to satisfactory performance and approval. Age Limit: 28 years as on the last date of application. General Information: 1) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. 2) The selected candidate may be considered for PhD program of IMTECH, Chandigarh, subject to fulfilling the requirements. 3) Canvassing in any form and/or bringing any influence, political or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification for the post.
