We’re looking for software engineers for our Validation, Tools and Acceleration - Test Analysis team to deliver frameworks, tools and test analysis analysis pipelines, metrics to support and accelerate design, prioritization and development of features, and evaluate impact of recently shipped features. VTA-TA is responsible for defining the technical vision and strategy for getting the right signals on AV performance. VTA-TA coordinates across engineering teams to align on and find the most efficient way to analyze and inspect the outcomes of the simulated scenarios. What you’ll be doing: Design and develop testing tools and frameworks to streamline and automate AV testing processes, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability. Collaborate with robotics engineers and cross-functional teams to understand testing requirements and translate them into effective tooling solutions. Analyze testing data using Python, Pandas, using data-driven insights to identify areas for enhancement and implementing best practices for AV testing. Use modern web stack (React + Nest.js) to build and optimize existing testing tools and systems to reduce bottlenecks, enhance test coverage, and improve testing efficiency in both simulated and real-world environments. Build and optimize data processing pipelines to handle large volumes of testing data, enabling real-time analysis and insights for AV testing performance. What you must have: Education and/or equivalent years of experience (must have education listed for US immigration work visa eligibility assessment) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field, or equivalent experience Experience in developing software tools and frameworks, with a focus on testing or automation, preferably in the context of autonomous vehicles or robotics Proficient in programming languages such as C++, Python, SQL, and Bash, and have experience with Linux, Git, and CI/CD pipelines Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control, testing methodologies, and continuous integration Strong communicator and collaborator, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals Bonus points! Experience in data analysis and visualization using tools like Pandas, NumPy, or similar Experience with full-stack languages and frameworks, such as Nest.js, React, Django, etc. Experience with ROS, Docker, and cloud-based testing environments Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and their application in testing automation Experience in managing and scaling testing infrastructure, especially for large-scale autonomous systems The salary range for this position is $102,000 - $150,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
