About the Role:
The Flatwork/DryFold position is integral to ensuring the efficient processing and handling of laundered textiles within a commercial laundry or linen service environment. The primary goal of this role is to operate flatwork ironers and dryfold machines to produce neatly pressed and folded linens, such as sheets, tablecloths, and other flat textiles, meeting quality and productivity standards. This position requires attention to detail to identify and remove stains or damages, ensuring only high-quality items are delivered to customers. The role also involves maintaining equipment cleanliness and performing minor troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Ultimately, the Flatwork/DryFold operator contributes to customer satisfaction by delivering consistently well-processed linens on schedule and in excellent condition.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to operate and monitor flatwork and dryfold machinery.
- Attention to detail to ensure quality control of processed linens.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a commercial laundry or textile processing environment.
- Familiarity with industrial laundry equipment and safety protocols.
- Ability to perform minor equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Strong organizational skills to manage workflow efficiently.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
Responsibilities:
- Operate flatwork ironers and dryfold machines to press and fold linens according to company standards.
- Inspect textiles for stains, tears, or defects and remove or report damaged items appropriately.
- Sort and prepare linens for processing, ensuring proper loading and unloading of machines.
- Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and maintain workflow continuity.
