Crockett County Schools Elementary School Counselor Expectations
- Provide Academic support to all targeted students
- Help all students begin career exploration
- Educate students about self-awareness and self-esteem
- Teach problem-solving and conflict resolution sills
- Provide individual and small group counseling services
- Make referrals to outside agencies as needed
- Meet with parents or consult with external parties such as Child Protective Services as necessary
- Be expected to serve as a crisis counselor if needed
- Provide character education sessions with classes at points during the school year
- Be expected to protect sensitive student information as confidential unless the information would do harm to the student or others
