Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Janakpuri for a Cricket Content Creator. The role involves producing live match commentary, writing match previews and reviews, and creating engaging articles, features, and opinion pieces on domestic and international cricket. The Cricket Content Creator will monitor news, statistics, and social media trends to generate timely content that resonates with fans. Day-to-day tasks include drafting and editing written content, collaborating with the editorial team, optimizing content for the website and social platforms, and interacting with the fan community on discussion pages. The role also requires maintaining high accuracy, a strong understanding of the game, and consistent output during peak cricket schedules and major tournaments.
Qualifications
- Strong cricket knowledge, including rules, formats, major tournaments, player profiles, and historical context.
- Excellent writing, storytelling, and editing skills with the ability to produce clear, engaging, and error‑free content.
- Comfort with live commentary and fast‑paced content creation during matches and breaking news situations.
- Ability to research statistics, trends, and news from reliable sources and present them in an accessible way.
- Familiarity with digital publishing tools, basic SEO principles, and social media platforms for sports content.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in an on‑site team environment.
- Time management skills and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during major cricket events when needed.
