Role Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as a Risk Analyst to work in a truly global environment to. The Risk Analyst will support the Risk Management team in monitoring, analysing, and reporting credit risk exposures across the business. The role involves preparing risk reports, reviewing counterparty exposures, monitoring portfolio performance, supporting risk assessments, and assisting with risk modelling activities. The individual will work closely with internal stakeholder’s risk teams to ensure accurate reporting, effective risk monitoring, and compliance with internal risk management frameworks reporting to Senior Credit Risk Manager. The role provides long term development potential for someone eager to demonstrate their skills and experience in the fast-paced soft commodities environment.

Key Accountabilities
- Assessing counterparty credit risk for counterparties globally during the monthly limit renewal review process
- Exposure reporting across all Business Units, with an investigation into any outliers or limit breaches
- Monitoring and reviewing exposures under approved limits, on a Commodity, Country, and Group level
- Monitoring Portfolio for any fluctuations and early warning signals
- Monitoring Credit Insurance portfolio across multiple insurers
- Supporting the Risk Managers/Senior Managers in monitoring, analyzing, and securing approval for requested trading limits
- Supporting Risk Managers/Senior Managers in preparation, execution and calibration of various credit risk models like probability of default calculation or approval limit guidance model
- Develop a detailed understanding of the Group’s in-house software systems, in particular, the Counterparty Risk System (CPRS); and provide overall support to the users of CPRS
- Proactively monitoring the assigned portfolio by tracking the industry / economic/regulatory developments, counterparty-related news, and other early warning indicators
- Supporting the Risk Managers/Senior Managers in the preparation of reports and presentations to senior/board level leadership
- Ongoing liaison with colleagues globally across all commodities, as well as external stakeholders where necessary
Skills and Experience:
- 2-3 years’ experience in a risk management function, with strong risk experience
- Bachelor's Degree in any field is required. Specialization in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics is preferred
- MBA or professional certification is preferred
- A proven self-starter who thrives under pressure with analytical precision
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong financial analytical skills and understanding of accounting, legal, and regulatory issues governing relevant sectors
- Excellent Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint skills are required
- Ability to assess credit terms and conditions, including financial covenants
- Ability to organize time and manage deliverables to meet timelines
- Ability to work in a team environment and coordinate with various stakeholders, such as front office traders, finance, logistics, and clients spread across different time zones
- Working knowledge, or hands-on experience with automation tools and AI implementation will be considered an advantage
