Credit Assessor (Australian Mortgage)
Location: Embassy Tech Village (Near Bellandur), Bengaluru

Job Overview
We are looking for experienced Credit Assessors with strong expertise in Australian Mortgage
underwriting and credit assessment. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in
assessing Australian home loan applications, including self-employed income calculations and
complex credit analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide credit analysis on financial statements and assessed credit risk for clients.
- Perform detailed credit assessment for Australian home loans and self- employed applications.
- Analyze data to verify information and check for fraud.
- Review loan documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Review complex loan structures to ensure compliance with lender specific credit policy and regulatory requirements.
- Decide loan approval or denial by assessing individual, company and trust income.
- Coordinate with lenders, brokers and other stakeholders to support sound credit decisions.
- Ensure all loan approvals or declines are in line with underwriting guidelines, effectively mitigating risk while achieving business objectives.
- Accurately verify customer identity, including name, date of birth, address, and identification details, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Review loan applications and supporting documents to ensure compliance with credit policies and regulatory standards, conducting thorough credit assessments based on the 4 C's: Capacity, Capital, Credit and Collateral.
- Ensure all applications comply with credit policies, regulatory standards, and service-level timelines.
Mandatory Requirements
- Must have experience in Credit Assessment of Australian Mortgage Applications
- Strong knowledge of Self-Employed Income Calculation is mandatory
- Experience in Australian home loan underwriting and credit analysis
- Strong understanding of lending guidelines, compliance, and risk assessmentPreferred Skills
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy
Experience Required: Relevant experience in Australian Mortgage Credit Assessment / Underwriting
Qualification: Graduate in any discipline (Finance/Commerce preferred)
