Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Credit Analyst role based in Surat. The Credit Analyst will evaluate the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses by analyzing financial statements, cash flows, banking records, and credit reports. The role includes assessing funding requirements, preparing credit assessment reports, recommending credit limits or structures, and monitoring existing exposures for early warning signals. The Credit Analyst will interact with relationship managers, lenders, and clients to gather information, clarify queries, and support loan structuring and documentation. The position also involves maintaining accurate credit files, ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory guidelines, and contributing to process improvements in credit evaluation.
Qualifications
- Strong credit-focused capabilities, including Credit and Credit Management skills to assess risk and structure appropriate solutions.
- Robust Analytical Skills to interpret financial statements, ratios, cash flows, and other quantitative data for decision-making.
- Solid foundation in Finance, including understanding of lending products, capital structures, and risk-return considerations.
- Effective Communication skills to present credit findings clearly, prepare concise reports, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, CA, MBA in Finance) are an advantage.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial analysis tools; familiarity with credit scoring models or banking systems is beneficial.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple credit cases within deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Experience in credit analysis, lending, or banking is preferred, especially in corporate, and SME, lending environments.
