Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Credit Analyst. The Credit Analyst will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients, analyzing financial data, and preparing detailed credit reports and recommendations. Daily responsibilities include managing credit applications, ensuring compliance with lending criteria, and supporting the underwriting process. The role also involves effective communication with clients and stakeholders to provide financial advice and solutions aligned with individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Loan Processing & Credit Analysis
• Conduct detailed pre-assessments before lodgement to maximise approval outcomes.
• Complete accurate serviceability calculations across multiple lenders.
• Review income, liabilities, living expenses, credit reports, and bank statements.
• Structure loans in line with client strategy, lending policy, and future goals.
• Order valuations, request pricing, and liaise with BDMs as required.
• Prepare and submit loan applications aiming for one-touch approvals.
• Monitor files daily using Broker Engine and lender platforms.
2. Client & Stakeholder Communication
• Proactively update clients on application progress and outstanding requirements.
• Follow up with lenders, clients, and brokers to resolve issues quickly.
• Liaise with solicitors, conveyancers, real estate agents, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain a daily call and follow-up tracker to ensure no file is left unattended.
3. Email & Document Management
• Manage shared inboxes and broker communications professionally and promptly.
• Ensure all documents are complete, current, consistent, and compliant.
• Maintain structured digital file management for easy access and audit readiness.
• Draft clear, professional emails to brokers and clients when files cannot proceed.
4. Compliance & Process Improvement
• Ensure all applications comply with lender policies and industry regulations.
• Maintain accurate records across CRM and lender systems.
• Identify workflow inefficiencies and suggest process improvements.
• Support rate reviews, refinances, and portfolio optimisation strategies.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Credit Management and a strong understanding of Credit processes
- Excellent Analytical Skills for evaluating financial data and making informed decisions
- Strong Communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate recommendations and interact with clients and stakeholders
- Background in Finance, with knowledge of financial principles and best practices
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under deadlines
- Proficiency in relevant financial and data analysis software
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Relevant certifications or professional qualifications in credit or finance are a plus
- Experience in the financial services industry is advantageous
