About The Opportunity
We operate in the healthcare staffing and provider credentialing sector, delivering end-to-end credentialing, enrollment, and compliance services to hospitals, clinics, telehealth providers, and payers. The team manages provider lifecycle operations and ensures audit-ready credential files that meet regulatory and payer requirements.
Primary Title: Provider Credentialing Specialist
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the full credentialing lifecycle for providers: application intake, primary source verification, privileging documentation, re-credentialing, and file maintenance.
- Execute primary source verifications (education, licensure, board certification, work history) and document results in the credentialing system to produce audit-ready files.
- Maintain and update CAQH ProView and other credentialing profiles; run NPDB queries and reconcile reports against provider records.
- Coordinate payer enrollments and revalidations (including NPI/PECOS where applicable) and track enrollment status across payers to ensure timely activation.
- Communicate with providers, facility contacts, state boards, and third-party verifiers to resolve discrepancies and obtain missing documentation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, maintain accurate trackers, and prepare files for internal and external audits.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must-Have
- Primary Source Verification
- CAQH ProView
- Credentialing Management Systems (e.g., symplr, Modio, Verity)
- National Practitioner DataBank (NPDB) query
- Provider Enrollment (NPI/PECOS)
- Microsoft Excel
- Preferred
- HIPAA compliance knowledge
- Experience with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Credentialing certification (e.g., CCA, CPCS)
