About NYX
NYX is a technology-driven startup building products and experiences at the intersection of technology, design, and innovation.
We are a fast-moving team where interns get the opportunity to work closely with the product and technology teams, contribute to real projects, and take ownership of meaningful work.
About the Role
We are looking for a Creative UI/UX & Mobile Developer Intern who can combine strong visual design skills with mobile development capabilities.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable taking an idea from concept → UI/UX design → functional mobile interface.
This role is particularly suited for someone who enjoys both designing interfaces and building them.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mobile-first user interfaces for applications and digital products.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma.
- Translate UI/UX designs into functional mobile interfaces.
- Build layouts, reusable components, animations, and micro-interactions.
- Collaborate with product and technology teams to improve usability and overall product experience.
- Maintain clean, scalable, and reusable UI components.
- Participate in product discussions and contribute ideas for improving mobile experiences.
- Test and refine interfaces based on usability and product requirements.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of UI/UX and mobile design principles.
- Good knowledge of Figma, wireframing, and prototyping.
- Ability to develop mobile interfaces, not just design them.
- Basic to working knowledge of Kotlin (Android) and/or Swift (iOS).
- Understanding of mobile UI development and responsive layouts.
- Strong visual sense, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Ability to convert design concepts into functional interfaces.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- A portfolio demonstrating UI/UX work and/or mobile development projects is preferred.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for candidates who fall into one of these profiles:
- A designer who can code and understands mobile development.
- A mobile developer with a strong design sense.
- A candidate who has built personal, academic, hackathon, or independent mobile projects.
- Someone who enjoys experimenting with interfaces, animations, and user experiences.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates from top engineering, design, technology, and management institutes are encouraged to apply.
We are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate strong fundamentals, a learning mindset, and evidence of building or designing products beyond coursework.
What You Will Get
- Hands-on experience working on real product initiatives.
- Exposure to product, design, and mobile development workflows.
- Opportunity to work closely with an experienced startup team.
- Ownership of meaningful projects rather than purely observational internship work.
- Fast-paced learning environment with opportunities to experiment and build.
