About the Role
BrandStory Digital is looking for a Creative Lead Designer to drive creative excellence across branding, digital platforms, and integrated marketing campaigns. This role is ideal for a senior creative professional who combines strong visual thinking with leadership capabilities, strategic understanding, and hands-on design expertise.
As a Creative Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing creative output across multiple client accounts, mentoring and guiding design teams, collaborating with strategy and client servicing teams, and ensuring that every creative deliverable aligns with brand objectives, business goals, and high creative standards.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary creative team including graphic designers, UI/UX designers, and motion artists.
- Set the creative direction and ensure consistency across all campaigns and brand touchpoints.
- Conduct regular design reviews and provide constructive, actionable feedback to the team.
- Manage team capacity, allocate workloads efficiently, and ensure timely project delivery.
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the design team.
Creative Strategy & Conceptualization
- Translate client briefs into strong creative concepts and compelling visual narratives.
- Collaborate with strategy, content, and account management teams to develop integrated campaign ideas.
- Ensure brand consistency, storytelling, and innovation across digital, social, print, video, and experiential formats.
- Stay updated with global design trends, emerging creative formats, and industry best practices.
Project & Client Ownership
- Oversee multiple creative projects from concept to final delivery.
- Present creative ideas, concepts, and rationales confidently to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality creative outputs within defined scope and timelines.
- Support business development teams in pitches, proposals, and new client onboarding.
Quality, Process & Standards
- Define and implement creative guidelines, brand systems, and design best practices.
- Maintain high standards of design quality, usability, and visual consistency.
- Establish efficient creative workflows, review processes, and quality checks.
- Continuously improve processes to enhance speed, efficiency, and creative output quality.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in branding, digital-first campaigns, and integrated marketing.
- Excellent proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, and related platforms.
- Solid understanding of UI/UX principles, user-centred design, and responsive design.
- Ability to balance creative vision with business objectives and client expectations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic mindset with exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of experience in creative agencies, digital marketing, or branding roles.
- Proven experience leading creative teams and delivering end-to-end creative solutions.
- Experience working in fast-paced, client-facing agency environments.
