Purplechalk is looking for a Creative Designer Trainee based in Chennai who is ready to start immediately and grow within a fast-paced agency environment.
This role is perfect for someone at the beginning of their design journey — someone who is curious, hands-on, and eager to learn by doing. You’ll work alongside a creative team, contribute to live projects, and gain real exposure to how brands are built and communicated visually.
What You’ll Do- Assist in creating designs for social media, digital campaigns, and brand creatives
- Translate simple briefs into clean, engaging visual outputs
- Support the team with day-to-day design tasks and adaptations
- Learn to maintain brand consistency across platforms
- Collaborate with content and marketing teams to understand how design fits into the bigger picture
- Work on multiple tasks while learning to manage timelines and priorities
What We’re Looking For- Chennai-based candidate (mandatory)
- Immediate joiner
- A portfolio (even student or personal work is fine) that shows your creative thinking
- Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Ability to sketch or visually express ideas
- Understanding of basic design principles — layout, colour, typography
- A team player who is open to feedback and collaboration
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and improve quickly
- Strong sense of responsibility and meeting deadlines
Bonus If You- Have done internships or freelance work
- Have explored motion graphics, reels, or video editing
- Follow design trends and enjoy experimenting creatively
