We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our landscape and construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and support landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture projects, ensuring high-quality standards across various sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in landscaping and lawn care, and the ability to supervise teams effectively. Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily operations of landscape maintenance, including lawn care, gardening, and tree care activities.
- Supervise and coordinate teams engaged in landscaping, irrigation, horticulture, and general maintenance tasks.
- Ensure all projects adhere to safety standards and quality specifications.
- Support the planning and execution of construction projects related to outdoor spaces.
- Monitor the performance of team members, providing guidance and leadership to promote efficiency and professionalism.
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Assist in scheduling work assignments, managing resources, and maintaining equipment.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure proper landscape upkeep and identify areas for improvement or repair.
Experience
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or related fields such as lawn care, gardening, or horticulture.
- Supervising experience in a landscape or construction environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, tree care techniques, and general maintenance practices.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Familiarity with construction processes related to outdoor spaces is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in project execution.
