Are you a visionary designer with a foundation in technical precision and a passion for sustainable innovation? UDIT University is seeking an experienced, academically grounded leader to head our Product Design Department. We are looking for a professional who bridges the gap between traditional craftsmanship and modern engineering to inspire the next generation of designers.
The Role
As Course Leader, you will be responsible for the academic integrity, curriculum development, and pedagogical leadership of the Product Design program. You will mentor students and faculty alike, ensuring our graduates are equipped to handle the complexities of the modern manufacturing landscape while remaining sensitive to environmental and cultural contexts.
Key Requirements
- Educational Background: A foundational degree in Engineering or Architecture.
- Minimum Qualification: A Post-Graduate / Master’s degree specifically in Industrial/Product Design.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in product development. Your portfolio should demonstrate:
- A varied range of product categories.
- Significant work within traditional crafts.
- A commitment to sustainable production and manufacturing methods.
- Experience in the renewal of products through repair and circular design principles.
- Teaching Experience: Ideally 3 to 5 years of experience in an academic or clinical teaching environment.

We want a leader who views design not just as an aesthetic pursuit, but as a problem-solving discipline. You should be an advocate for "slow design," repairability, and the integration of artisanal techniques with scalable engineering solutions.
