About the Job
We are seeking a motivated Course Advisor / Educational Counselor to support prospective students in making informed academic and career decisions. This is a Full-time role with OnSite work flexibility, where you will guide learners through course options, assess their needs, and help convert interest into meaningful enrollment. You will combine counseling best practices with persuasive communication to build trust, drive admissions outcomes, and ensure a positive student experience from first interaction through enrollment.
Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct educational counseling sessions to understand student goals, academic background, and career aspirations.
Recommend suitable courses and learning pathways, clearly explaining benefits, outcomes, eligibility, and next steps.
Handle inbound and/or walk-in leads, using strong communication and convincing skills to address questions and concerns.
Demonstrate sales expertise by progressing leads through the admissions funnel while maintaining ethical guidance.
Support sales and business development initiatives by identifying opportunities, tracking outcomes, and contributing to targets.
Coordinate internally with admissions, training, or academic stakeholders to ensure accurate information and smooth follow-ups.
Maintain organized records of student interactions, counseling notes, and application progress.
Provide post-counseling follow-up to improve conversion, engagement, and student satisfaction.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in educational counseling and/or learner guidance (minimum and maximum experience not specified).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and empathetically.
Strong sales skills with the ability to build rapport and influence decisions ethically.
Demonstrated convincing skills to handle objections and guide prospects toward enrollment.
Ability to perform sales and business development activities, including lead follow-ups and target achievement.
Strong counseling skills, including active listening, empathy, and goal-oriented guidance.
Customer-focused mindset and professionalism in an on-site environment.
