Staff Full Stack Engineer (Data Collection)

Coupang, a leading e-commerce company, is hiring a Staff Full Stack Engineer to join our Data Collection team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and improving our data collection infrastructure, ensuring the reliable and efficient collection of data from various sources. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance data pipelines that power our business-critical applications. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop robust and scalable data collection systems, including stream processing, batch processing, and real-time data ingestion - Implement efficient data transformation and enrichment processes to ensure data quality and consistency - Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to understand their data requirements and translate them into technical solutions - Optimize data processing pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness - Contribute to the development and maintenance of our data platform, including automation, monitoring, and incident response - Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement Required Skills and Experience: - 5+ years of experience in full-stack engineering, with a strong background in backend development - Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Scala, Go) - Hands-on experience with distributed systems, stream processing frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis), and batch processing tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) - Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) - Understanding of data modeling, data quality, and data governance principles - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
