Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Counselor role based at the MAAC center in Dehradun. The Counselor will guide prospective learners through the admission process, including providing detailed information about MAAC’s courses, understanding candidate interests, and recommending suitable programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include handling walk-in and phone inquiries, conducting counseling sessions, maintaining follow-up with leads, and supporting enrollment targets. The role also involves coordinating with faculty and administration for smooth onboarding, maintaining accurate records in the student management system, and participating in events, seminars, and outreach activities to promote MAAC’s offerings.
Qualifications
- Counseling and advising skills, with the ability to understand learner goals and recommend appropriate courses.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, families, and internal teams.
- Customer service and relationship-building capabilities to manage inquiries and maintain long-term engagement.
- Basic sales and admission process skills, including lead follow-up, conversion, and documentation.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple inquiries, schedules, and student records efficiently.
- Comfort with using computers, CRM or student management systems, and common office software.
- Prior experience in education counseling, training institutes, or admissions will be an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, psychology, or business is preferred.
