Role Description The Counselor will provide guidance and support to prospective and current learners associated with Avionext’s Aviation Academy and training programs. This full-time, on-site role based in Nagpur involves counseling individuals on suitable aviation courses, career pathways, and skill development opportunities, while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and program offerings. Day-to-day tasks include conducting one-on-one and group counseling sessions, handling walk-in and phone inquiries, coordinating admissions processes, and maintaining accurate records of interactions. The Counselor will collaborate with training and operations teams to organize orientations, information sessions, and follow-ups, and will contribute to outreach activities to promote academy programs. The role also requires regular reporting on enrollment status, feedback collection, and participation in continuous improvement of counseling processes.
Qualifications
- Strong counseling and advisory skills, including the ability to assess learner needs, recommend suitable programs, and provide career guidance in a structured, empathetic manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in clear verbal and written communication and the ability to build trust with learners, families, and internal stakeholders.
- Organizational and administrative abilities, such as managing documentation, tracking inquiries and admissions, and maintaining accurate records in digital or paper-based systems.
- Basic knowledge of the aviation and logistics industry, or a demonstrated interest in learning aviation-related concepts, training pathways, and career roles.
- Proficiency with common office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email, and video conferencing tools) and comfort with using CRM or student management systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with training, operations, and marketing teams, and to contribute to events, orientations, and outreach initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, education, business, or a related field; relevant certifications in counseling or student guidance are an advantage.
- Prior experience in academic counseling, student advisory services, or customer-facing roles in education or training environments is preferred.
