Company Description eduVelocity Global Counsels (EV) is an international counseling organization that helps students make informed education and career decisions and secure admission to their “best fit” overseas universities, particularly in the United States and Canada. The team brings over 35 years of collective experience working with leading schools and universities, including top institutions such as Harvard, Brown, University of Michigan, and UNC Chapel Hill, as well as a wide range of public and private colleges across North America. EV focuses on personalized, ethical guidance and does not operate as an education agent, test-prep center, immigration agency, or higher education fair organizer. Its counselors support students from grades 9–12, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels to identify and pursue global education and career paths aligned with their aspirations. The company’s sole commitment is to students and their families, who are the only paying clients, ensuring unbiased and student-centered counseling.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, with positions ranging from Counsellor – Profile Building to Senior Counsellor – Profile Building, Senior Counsellor – Life Skills, and Manager – Life Skills (5–6 years experience). The role involves working closely with students and families to understand educational goals, assess profiles, and design individualized roadmaps for admissions to overseas universities. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, guiding profile development through academic planning, co-curricular and extracurricular recommendations, and supporting students in building strong resumes and portfolios. For life skills–focused roles, the position also requires designing and delivering modules on communication, critical thinking, leadership, time management, and other personal development areas. The role may include coordinating with international counselors, maintaining detailed case records, organizing workshops or information sessions, and contributing to internal processes and team collaboration to ensure consistent, high-quality student support.
Qualifications
- Strong counseling skills, with the ability to work empathetically and professionally with school, undergraduate, and postgraduate students and their families.
- Experience (5–6 years preferred for Manager-level roles) in academic counseling, career guidance, or related education services, ideally with exposure to overseas admissions.
- Proficiency in designing and leading life skills programs, including communication, problem-solving, confidence building, and goal setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to present information clearly in meetings, workshops, and written materials.
- Proven capability in student profile assessment, educational planning, and guiding students in co-curricular and extracurricular development.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple student cases simultaneously.
- Collaborative mindset, with a track record of working effectively in diverse, interdisciplinary teams.
