Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Counsellor, based in Mumbai. The Counsellor will provide guidance and support to individuals seeking career, educational, or personal development advice. The day-to-day responsibilities include counseling students or beneficiaries, designing and implementing programs for career guidance, conducting workshops, and collaborating with other departments to assist in the holistic development of individuals. The role also involves maintaining detailed records of sessions and progress, facilitating mentorship opportunities, and contributing to initiatives that support the Fazlani Foundation's mission.
Qualifications
- Counseling and active listening skills, empathy, and the ability to build positive rapport with individuals
- Proficiency in planning and conducting career guidance workshops or personalized sessions
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills to monitor and report on progress
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency in understanding various educational and career opportunities
- Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is preferred
- Familiarity with the socio-economic challenges faced by underserved communities and the ability to adapt counseling approaches accordingly
- Previous experience in educational counseling or non-profit organizations is a plus
