About the role
CEEW is seeking to hire a Research Intern with strong analytical skills to join our Industrial Sustainability team, focusing on the decarbonisation of the construction industry in India. The role will be vital in advancing CEEW's research by conducting data analysis and developing models to inform energy transition/decarbonisation strategies in this sector. The successful candidate will support the IS team's efforts by conducting industry surveys and engaging with leading architects, civil engineers, and structural engineers to assess the sustainability landscape of India's building and construction sector. This position offers exposure to the workings of a world-leading climate think tank and the opportunity to engage with key stakeholders in the construction space. This role provides an excellent prospect to contribute to the decarbonisation efforts in a key industrial sector and to work at the forefront of India's energy transition.
The candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to make detailed presentations to various stakeholders and write informative reports in technical English. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work across teams and manage multiple priorities and should be detail-oriented and committed to adhering to timelines. In addition to the duties and responsibilities below, the individual should be prepared, as and when necessary, to take on additional responsibilities.
