About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cyber Security Engineer to take on a challenging role supporting Land capability programs within Defence. As a key member of the cyber security team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of critical security outcomes in support of Australia's national defence and security interests. Permanent or casual employment options available. What you'll be doing Oversee the development and implementation of cyber security requirements Perform system security architecture assessments and provide input into secure design and integration Conduct cyber security working groups and other stakeholder engagement activities Perform security risk assessments IAW the ISM, DSPF and relevant industry standards Assist with the development of security documentation e.g. SAP, SSP, SRMP, IRP Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project and engineering teams to identify and mitigate cyber security risks across all system development phases Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, technologies, and industry best practices Provide guidance and support to project teams and users on cybersecurity best practices What we're looking for Degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Systems Engineering or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience in a cyber security engineering type role within Defence industry or similarly complex, regulated environment Experience supporting design, development, implementation, assessment and authorisation activities Strong understanding of PSPF, DSPF, ISM and relevant cyber security standards and frameworks Effective communication skills and the ability to confidently engage with a range of stakeholders Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM) are highly desirable Australian citizenship is required due to clearance requirements Current or active AGSVA security clearance (NV1 or above) highly desirable What we offer We are committed to providing our employees with a supportive and enriching work environment.
