Role Description:
We are looking for a Costing Manager to lead and manage product costing, cost control, and profitability analysis for our fixtures manufacturing operations. The role will ensure accurate costing, support pricing strategies, and drive cost optimization across projects and production.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Costing & Analysis
• Prepare detailed cost sheets including materials, labor, overheads, and production costs
• Develop and maintain standard & actual costing systems
• Analyze cost variances (standard vs actual) and highlight key drivers
• Maintain and update Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing data
2. Cost Control & Optimization
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement
• Monitor raw material usage, wastage, and production efficiency Track market changes (material price fluctuations) and suggest pricing impact
3. Budgeting & Forecasting
• Support preparation of annual budgets and cost forecasts
• Conduct COGS analysis and monthly variance reporting
• Provide insights to management for decision-making
4. Cross-Functional Coordination
• Work closely with Production, Procurement, Design, and Sales teams
• Support new product development costing and pricing strategy
• Collaborate with finance for accurate cost reporting
5. Reporting & Compliance
• Prepare cost reports, dashboards, and MIS for leadership
• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and policies
• Support audits related to inventory and costing
6. Process Improvement
• Implement costing tools, systems, and best practices
• Improve costing accuracy and streamline processes
• Lead initiatives for operational efficiency and margin improvement
Required Skills & Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in finance / accounting / engineering
2. 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing costing
Strong knowledge of:
• Product costing (standard & actual)
• BOM & inventory management
• Cost variance analysis
• Proficiency in Excel & ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience in furniture / fixtures / manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of pricing strategy and margin optimization
