Position Summary
Business Analysts are responsible for eliciting and documenting requirements that are clear, concise, and testable. Business Analysts define a set of requirements that translate into solutions and technology systems, and communicate these to the client and other stakeholders. Business Analysts work closely with end users, business unit representatives, Information System resources, and others, in all stages of the project lifecycle from beginning to end. Business Analysts work with management to identify potential improvement areas.

Business Analysts work with management to identify potential improvement areas. Business Analysts are responsible for eliciting and documenting requirements that are clear, concise, and testable.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for developing business requirements, use cases, wireframes of dashboards, along with other appropriate standard analysis artifacts.
Job Duties/Essential Functions
● Ensures appropriate stakeholders are involved, builds and manages business relationships, and obtains required information for capturing and validating requirements, use cases, and Dashboarding functionality.
● Defines and communicates requirements, risks, and issues that may require changes to plans or scope; manages changes and conflicts during the requirements gathering process.
● Build Business Intelligence Dashboards which satisfy the needs of the requirements and requested functionality; analyzes and evaluates current dashboards to implement usability improvements.
● Supports the business post go-live and creates and/or assists in the training of the dashboard use.
● Identifies and resolves problems, often anticipating issues before they occur; develops and evaluates options and implements solutions for streamlining and increasing effectiveness through continuous process improvement.
● Possesses product knowledge and process improvement skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively propose solutions and prototypes to help stakeholders understand proposed business solutions.
● Assists the technical team with the translation of business requirements into functional specifications and technology solutions.
● Manages product requests, data delivery backlogs, and UAT deliverables; communicates change status and prioritization to key stakeholders.

Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certifications
Required:
● Minimum 3 years Business Analysis or ecommerce experience.
● Minimum 2 years’ experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or equivalent
● Proficient in utilizing development, data, and business process analysis tools/utilities
● Deep understanding of business requirements elicitation and stakeholder management.
● Proficient in requirements gathering, business modeling, user journey modeling/documenting, project scoping, and use case creation.
● Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills, as well as a positive attitude.
● Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, including presentation skills.
● Extreme responsiveness with a strong sense of urgency.
● Adept at assessing issues with ability to devise workable solutions quickly.
● Able to work independently.
● Excellent organizational and planning skills.
● Flexible; must be able to change priorities quickly, focus on new ones without distraction; able to deal with conflict and work under pressure to meet deliverable dates/timelines.
● Experience in negotiating timelines and deliverables.
● Basic understanding of Agile methodologies.
Recommended:
● BA in Business Analysis, Business, Information Technology, or equivalent.
● 2-5 years of Costco Travel business or travel industry.
● UX or similar design experience is a big plus.
● Proficient in Google Workspace applications, including Sheets, Docs, Slides, Gmail.
● Successful internal candidates will have spent one year or more on their current team.
