Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cost Manager with strong expertise in both Civil and MEP works for corporate interior projects. The ideal candidate will lead cost estimation, quantity surveying, vendor management, and client coordination for end-to-end project delivery. This role demands the ability to balance cost control with quality, ensuring that projects are commercially sound, competitively priced, and executed with financial discipline.
Key Responsibilities
1. BOQ & Cost Estimation
- Prepare accurate BOQs covering civil, interior, and MEP works based on GFC drawings, concept designs, and site scope.
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates, budget benchmarks, and value engineering proposals.
- Maintain an updated rate database for materials, vendors, MEP components, and market trends.
2. Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management
- Perform quantity take-offs for civil, architectural, interior, and MEP services.
- Monitor and control project costs from design stage through procurement and execution.
- Manage variation orders, interim payment certifications, and final billing.
3. Tendering & Vendor Coordination
- Float RFQs, evaluate vendor quotations, and prepare detailed cost comparisons.
- Negotiate and finalise vendors for both civil and MEP packages.
- Verify vendor invoices against BOQs, site progress, and technical specifications.
4. Client Coordination & Pre-Sales Support
- Participate in client meetings to present cost breakdowns, justifications, and BOQ clarifications.
- Collaborate with BD and design teams for pre-sales cost planning and tender submissions.
- Offer value engineering suggestions for both civil and MEP works without compromising design intent.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain commercial documentation, contracts, approvals, and trackers.
- Prepare MIS reports, cash flow projections, and cost trackers for internal and client review.
- Ensure compliance with IWPS SOPs, statutory regulations, and technical standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering /Quantity Surveying.
- 5–6 years of experience in costing, QS, and client handling in Design & Build or corporate interior projects, with proven expertise in both Civil & MEP works.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, Revit, and estimation tools.
- Strong understanding of structural works, finishes, HVAC, electrical, fire-fighting, plumbing, and other MEP services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- MBA in Quantity Surveying is an advantage
