Role Description The Cost Estimator role at J D Creation is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Cost Estimator will prepare detailed project estimates, including material, labor, and overhead costs, using architectural drawings, specifications, and vendor quotations. Daily tasks include analyzing project requirements, preparing cost breakdowns, updating budgets, and tracking variances throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves collaborating with architects, project managers, and procurement teams to refine estimates, support bid proposals, and ensure cost-effective solutions. The Cost Estimator will also monitor market rates, maintain estimating databases, and recommend cost control measures to keep projects on budget.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Project Estimation and Cost Management for architecture and planning projects.
- Proficiency in Budgeting and Cost Control to support accurate forecasting and financial oversight.
- Excellent Analytical Skills for interpreting drawings, data, and market trends to produce reliable estimates.
- Experience with estimating or project management software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Prior experience in cost estimating within architecture, construction, or real estate is preferred.
- Strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively on-site.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
