Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cost Accountant role based in Navi Mumbai. The Cost Accountant will analyze production costs, track variances, and prepare cost reports to support pricing and profitability decisions. Daily responsibilities include maintaining cost records, preparing and reviewing journal entries, assisting in month-end close, and supporting the preparation of financial statements. The role will collaborate with production, procurement, and finance teams to monitor material, labor, and overhead costs and recommend cost-saving opportunities. The Cost Accountant will also help ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Cost Accounting, including standard costing and variance analysis.
- Experience preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and related schedules.
- Solid Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret cost data and support decision-making.
- Hands-on experience with Journal Entries (Accounting) and general ledger processes.
- Understanding of core Finance concepts, budgeting, and cost control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CA inter) are an advantage.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel; familiarity with ERP systems used in manufacturing is preferred.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work accurately under time constraints.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site.
